Easter Piggy Banks that don’t Cost the Earth

We’ve all seen it. The adults around us who don’t know how to manage their money. As soon as they come into a little of it, they go out splurging on the nearest luxury they can get their hands on. Time and time again, we’ve seen them turn to their family, friends and sometimes even neighbors whenever things don’t turn out as they had expected. At this point, they have nothing saved for a rainy day to help alleviate the problem they’re in.

While it is possible for an adult to develop the skills necessary to survive while living in financial prudence, oftentimes it is a result of going through a situation that taught them a lesson. For you though, you have beautiful children that you’re raising and as a parent, you want to give them the best.

The term best is relative. For some, it might be taking them to the best schools and parent them from a distance. For some, it could be the best of what they can afford depending on their circumstances. What parents fail to look at, though, is the financial aspect of being an adult.
When that child goes through college or decides to go another route, say the military, they will be out of your hands. Their financial prudence is dependent on what they know and have learned up to that point in their lives. As a parent who wants the best for their child, you don’t want to see your child fail. So, what are you left to do?

Teach them how to be financially prudent adults. And yes, you have to start them young. It’s common for parents to have their children do chores around the house in exchange for a weekly allowance. This is the best starting point.

Aside from learning how to manage money, you will have to teach them how to save. As a child, this concept may be a bit of a problem to understand, but showing them practically works. This would require you to enlist the services of an Easter piggy bank.

Getting one though is the problem. All the good quality, and ones that your children would prefer, are quite expensive. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get them one. It just means you have to look a little bit harder to find an Easter Piggy Bank that works for you and your budget.

Getting one wouldn’t be difficult. It’s just a matter of digging through the various online shopping platforms, or even the neighborhood department store to get one that would serve the purpose, but also not force you to alter your budget to accommodate the purchase.
Some of the more affordable start out from $15. The construction though, is what will be different as the prices go up. At that price point, you get small sizes that are made of plastic, and that may not be what you’re looking for.

As the prices keep going higher, the construction materials and the sizes keep on changing. From around $30, you start getting larger sizes made from ceramic.
